Glossary

This genre has decades of jargon attached to it and none of it is obvious from outside. Nobody expects you to know any of this.

    Mobile Vanguard Force

  • CD, Class-D

Detainee Labour, and the people in it

The Continuum Interest: the people who raid the site and drop the bar, played for one op at a time. They are not random bandits, and their origin is inside PRC.

  • R&C

    Research and Containment. Locked.

  • G0 to G5

Grades. Authority, the same in every branch.

  • Initiate, Operator, Custodian, Director

The bands you see on Discord and Roblox: G0, G1 and G2, G3 and G4, G5.

  • C1 to C3

The Command seats: Overseer, Continuum Director, Observer

  • D0 to D3

    Rungs of the detainee ladder

  • CL-1 to CL-4

    Clearance. It follows your grade.

  • Contingent Asset

What everyone is from arrival, and keeps for good

  • Founder

The permanent honour for people who joined before the doors

  • The camp, CDCZ

Where detainees live and everyone starts

  • The Cut

The open excavation. The dig face.

  • The skip

Where spoil is dropped, counted and paid for

  • Spoil

What comes off a rock face when you dig

  • Credits

What a person earns and spends at the commissary

  • Budget

What the site earns from tonnes dug, and spends on modules

  • Module

One buildable piece of the site: a hut, a mast, a length of fence

  • The bar

The works programme's progress. When it fills, the next part of the site opens.

  • Trusty, Ganger

The second and third rungs of the detainee ladder

  • Time-Served

A detainee released by a board, free to join a department

  • Muster

The roll call at the start of a shift

  • Op

A scheduled session: Wednesday and Saturday evenings

  • Domain failure

A place, process or system that stopped behaving. What PRC is contracted to contain.

  • A face

The working surface of rock you are digging. You get assigned one.

  • Drift

A number on the works board that climbs and is never explained. Do not expect an answer yet.

  • Verified

You have linked a Roblox account, nothing more. It opens the server past the first four channels, and /apply needs it.
  • The bot that does the linking. If you are verified with it in another server, ours usually picks that up on its own.

  • Branch

    Your department. What you do.

  • Grade

How far up you are: G0 to G5, then C1 to C3.

  • Clearance

Where you are allowed to go. It follows from your grade. CL-1 to CL-4.

  • HICOM

High Command. Two people. The top of the structure.

  • The Register

The Anomalous Registry. A risk document, not a monster manual.

  • A fragment

Something the site was not supposed to keep. Partial, sometimes contradictory, never deleted once found.

  • Manifest

What the next supply ship carries. The server votes on it.

  • In character

Speaking as your character. Out of character means speaking as yourself, and anyone can call it to stop a scene.

  • The doors

31 October 2026, when the game opens properly.

  • Chapter

A stretch of the story opened by a new floor. Each one gets a short public recap in #story-so-far.

If a word isn't here, ask in #faq-desk, or run /whatis in the server. Once it's answered, it gets added for the next person.
