The game
Duty roster
A rank is who you are. A role is what you are doing tonight.
Roles are handed out at muster, held for one op and handed back. Any grade can hold most of them. An Officer can be Gate NCO for a shift, and that is how everyone finds out whether they should be a Sergeant.
